A Mother

BEING A MOTHER...

After 17 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to
take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She 
said, 'I love you, but I know this other woman loves
you and would love to spend some time with you.'

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit
was my MOTHER, who has been alone for 20 years,
but the demands of my work and my two boys had
made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for
dinner and a movie.
* * *
'What's wrong, aren't you well,' she asked?
* * *
My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a
late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign
of bad news.
* * *
'I thought it would be pleasant to spend some
time with you,' I responded. 'Just the two of us.'
She thought about it for a moment, and then said,
'I would like that very much.'

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her
house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous
about our date. She waited in the door. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last
birthday on November 19th.

She smiled from a face that was as radiant as an
angels. 'I told my friends that I was going to go
out with my son, and they were impressed,' she said,
as she got into that new white van. 'They can't wait to hear about our date'.

We went to a restaurant that, although not
elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my
arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat
down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only
read large print. Half way through the entries, I
lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at
me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips. 'It was I
who used to have to read the menu when you were
small,' she said. 'Then it's time that you relax and
let me return the favor,' I responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable
conversation-nothing extraordinary but catching up
on recent events of each other's life. We talked so
much that we missed the movie.

As we arrived at her house later, she said, 'I'll
go out with you again, but only if you let me invite
you.' I agreed.
* * *
'How was your dinner date ?' asked my wife when I
got home.
'Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,' I answered.
* * *
A few days later, my mother died of a massive
heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't
have a chance to do anything for her.
* * *
Some time later, I received an envelope with a
copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place
mother and I had dined. An attached note said: 'I
paid this bill in advance. I wasn't sure that I
could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two 
plates - one for you and the other for your wife..
You will never know what that night meant for me. I
love you, son.'

At that moment, I understood the importance of
saying in time: 'I LOVE YOU' and to give our loved
ones the time that they deserve. Nothing in life is
more important than your family. Give them the time
they deserve, because these things cannot be put off
till 'some other time.'

Somebody said it takes about 6 weeks to get back
to normal after you've had a baby.... somebody
doesn't know that once you're a mother, 'normal' is history.

Somebody said you learn how to be a mother by
instinct... somebody never took a three-year-old shopping.

Somebody said being a mother is boring....
somebody never rode in a car driven by a teenager with a driver's permit. Somebody said if you're a' good' mother, 
your child will 'turn out good'.... 
somebody thinks a child comes with
directions and a guarantee.

Somebody said you don't need an education to be a
mother.... somebody never helped a fourth grader
with his math.
* * *
Somebody said you can't love the second child as
much as you love the first.... somebody doesn't have two children.

Somebody said the hardest part of being a mother
is labor and delivery.... 
somebody never watched her 'baby' get on the bus 
for the first day of  kindergarten ...
or on a plane headed for military 'boot camp.'

Somebody said a mother can stop worrying after her
child gets married....somebody doesn't know that
marriage adds a new son or daughter-in-law to a
mother's heartstrings.

Somebody said a mother's job is done when her last
child leaves home....somebody never had
grandchildren.

you don't need to tell her.... somebody isn't a
mother.

Advice for Singles

One of my students sent me this SMS and it got me thinking what to respond to it .....

Before Marriage

HE : Yes! I've been waiting for this moment :)

SHE : Do you want to leave me ?

HE : No! Don't even think about it. :(

SHE : Do you love me ?

HE : Of course over and over :P

SHE : Have you ever cheated on me ?

HE : No, Why are you even asking that ? :(

SHE : Will you kiss me ?

HE : Every chance I get .

SHE : Will you hit me ?

HE : Are you crazy ? I am not that kind of person.

SHE : Can I trust you ?

HE : Yes :P

It was Funny but It is the reality , the truth ,at least in many cases

So replied that he needed to find the right person to avoid these things and so I got some advice for the single people out there;

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheeerfully.

TWO . Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

FOUR . When you say, 'I love you ,' mean it.

FIVE. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.

SIX . Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

Malaysian Hero

These were the pictures that made it to the newspapers a few days back. A terrible accident turned a bus injuring many passengers on the highway from Seremban.

Eddie , my brother in law was on the way to Kl when he saw the accident and ran to help the victims. He was shocked to see so many people just watching but not helping at all. He tried his best to give a hand to the badly injured victims.

He became a Hero for that day , especially to that little boy who wouldn't let him go.

Sadly but true is that people often just watch the bad things but do nothing to assist . Traffic jams are very common because passers by just stop to watch NOT to help during an accident . They stop to take pictures to see how bad it is or just to get the plate numbers but for nothing GOOD.

Yet when it comes to Judge people , Malaysians are like the experts on the matter. There is this news about a little girl named Sufiah who at 13 was a genius and she was sent to Brittan to study in a university and sadly she is now 23 and one of the most popular SCORT GIRL in Brittan . Being a Muslim and a call girl has made her the top issue of the country. Everyone is looking at her body in Youtube and they all judge her but they don't even know her ...

I am not saying that what she did is right but who am I to judge her .

We are not perfect and we all have our bad things to be ashame of.

So what will be the talk next week I wonder?????

Dios apreta pero no mata

I Thank God for everything I have . I thank God for all the blessings and all the hardships for that is life. My grandmother used to say "Dios apreta pero no mata" which I think is the truth.  God gives us  hardships for us to grow stronger and he blesses us after  a big and hard life. No one can be completly 100% happy , healthy and in peace . There must be something there to remind us that we need to work hard for the things we want. This week I have had many news ; some good some bad some happy some sad but God has also showed me that He is beside me too. The funny part is that one sad event follow a happy one  like a rollercoaster ride. The worst news came last but the happy ones made up for it. When my heart was like there is no hope there came something else to give me strength and here I am still standing and with Faith most of all. So no matter what comes next I know God will be with me to make me see the way I should go .......

Many people has asked me for help lately but I haven't asked for help myself only to God. I wasn't able to help many specially those who needed Money for I believe that if u want a friendship to last keep the money loans and debits away from the frienship. I have helped with just a smile and advice even with a simply visit to those I care for.

It all has been because of God for He was there with me to guide me to show me the way. Many of my friends needed me and that made me forget about my personal problems . I had great news too . Life is like that ........... I found out that animals just like people also need company ,love and sex hahahahaha. Well I guess animals are more humans in many ways

Hey, wake up! wake up!

A dog was knocked down by a car and died on the middle of the road. Later, another dog is
seen beside the corpse of the dog, he tried to wake his friend up using his leg. 

Let's move to the safer side of the road...i will move you to the safer side!

When his attempts to wake his friend failed, he tried to push his friend to the side of the
road. But the weight of his friend was proven too heavy for him. 


Anyone help, tell me what to do.

Though the traffic is busy and dangerous, he just will not go away from his friend. Just
stand beside his friend howling and crying.    

A lot of people saw this incident and feel very touched.

How even a dog can show his loyalty and love to his friend. 

My poor little rabbit is horny and needs  a partner too so now i need to find him one.

My best friend is crying for a lost love and I can't stand seeing her like that . I feel like falling in love only causes pain specially when we fall in love with someone we can't or shouldn't be with.

My good friend at work found out she could loose the movement of her legs and I was so worried about her then we found outthat she can actually live with that injury but she needs to be careful. I thank God for my legs even if I get so tired and they are painful at the end of the day

There are  people in this world who are alone even when they live with their family for they are ignored and left alone to survive. I thank God for the love of my kids and the respect of my relatives and mostly for the help my husband brings to the whole family.

One can't never be complete but we can make the best of what we have . We still have our dreams , our fantasies our faith

Thank you God for what I have and bless all the people who understand what I am trying to say and also those who don't or won't .............

Friendship

In Life , we meet all sort of people and we make choices of whom to friend , or whom to like most. Sometimes our choices are not the best choices but our hearts are the ones who really make the choice. At least most of the time.

Many factors are considered when we choose friends, like karisma , character , behaviour , manners , gender , background and such . I usually see people for who they are when they are with me then i make a choice of calling them friends or just people I know.

There are times when someone likes you without you knowing so just by chance and they admire you and take you as a friend but you don't notice it or are just to busy to realize it . This has happened to me many times  and one of them wrote this to me this morning

I wish to make a serious announcement to you. I must say this to you. I want to email this to you. I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. You have created a space of smiles whenever i open my gmail; you have created inspiration when i am down [without knowing that the day was so yaks-sucks]; you have lightened and enlightened my heart; you made yourself available to me most of the time though not here in person but in feeling; you have helped me pick up myself when i fell down; you have held my wounds at times when i was stuck with so many spears - wah! from the back; you have also made me feel in time with this gmail-email etc thing - you know i am really dumb when it comes to this network; far more than anyone, YOU have given me your beautiful friendship and allow me to share with YOU. Tell me what more can i ask!!!!

I love the feeling this brings to me . I have a friend and it is a big thing even more now for I know it.

Sometimes I spend my time thinking of some people that I think are my friends but they don't even call or email or care enough to say hi once in a while yet I have this people that I touched everyday by simple things I do and they see me they care they remember me and I don't even know they are there .......

Pay attention to those people for they are the ones who are really your friends.

KL traffic a nightmare.......

Going to work in the morning is such a nightmare. I know everybody is trying to get to their jobs on time but some are just taking their sweet time , others are just push overs and the rest well.....................

I thank God I listen to Hitz.FM JJ and Rudy , those guys make me laugh so much so the slow traffic is ok with me . I just try to be a good driver and stay in my lane while enjoying the music, the jokes and all the silly things these guys say early morning.

I have seen a lot these few days like :

Ladies trying to apply their make up while driving

Men reading news papers in the heavy traffic

Lots of them on the mobile phones

Crazy drivers cutting in and out of the lanes

Busy bodies trying to get the girl in the next car

and the worst foolish drivers that think they own the roads and want to do whatever they want to cut infront of you.

One of them driving a Gold Perdana hit my side mirror this morning He was such a #%$@  the arrogant fool was trying to cut in front of me after the toll in Damansara so he just hit me and pretended like nothing happened so I managed to follow him and cut in front of his car but before that I stopped next to him and screamed with all my voice "Who do u think you are???? You hit my side mirror and just drove away like nothing happened . Are you blind??? Or just an Idiot??? He looked at me in shock for he never thought that I being a lady would try to arguee with him . I drove off by saying #$%@ and he was left behind with everybody looking at him like a fool. I can't stand drivers like that . They dress so smart with black shades , tie and all the collar shirt but they drive like jerks with no education. I was ok because the side mirror didn't break  but if it would have  I would showed him one thing or two.

We are just trying to be careful drivers but these kind of people won't let you ............

So drive carefully and enjoy the traffic with HITZ.FM and the morning crew JJ and Rudy

Abby , my son

This is my handsome son, Abby . He is my "Rock Star" but I got him to dress up for a weeding hahaha he looked good actually. He also learned to dance Latino steps at the partyand to make drinks at the bar hahahaha.

He likes to play cool . He is more and more a man nowadays. He has learned to say what he feels and that makes even more special to me....

He is as usual very quiet at first but a playful guy in the end. Girl specially young girls like to look at him.

Cesar Santana

Cesar Santana is Dennis' brother . He is 19 years old  with adorable blue eyes. He is a very special guy. He is a virgo.  Nonetheless he is caring,  kind,  friendly , funny and loving. He is only 19 but sometimes acts as he is so mature and others he is just a 15 year old trying to find his way . He is a good dancer and a great baker hahahahaha.

He has big dreams and I pray all of them come true. He loves to sing and to show off. He introduce me to cinnamon chewing gum too.

He loves to eat ice cream and to play soccer. He is a member of a team in Glendale and they play every Sunday. His best friend is Jose another very good player.

He is very playful and loves to joke around.

I experienced a real snow storm with him on the way to Reno from Sacramento . We came out of the van to feel the snow on our faces and feet . It was an amazing feeling but terribly cold.

He loves to full around and be crazy .

He is always looking for funny things to do .

He loves to show off his soccer skills all the time.

He sometimes portrait the cool guy and others the cute boy inside him.....

He is an angel too

He is very dedicated when he is working and he loves working with children. He is a boy trying to be an adult most of the time

Dennis Santana

Dennis Santana

I met Dennis before Xmas 2007 . He was a quiet boy with a wonderful smile , thogh he didn't say much , one could hear everything he was saying . He is a really smart guy . He is only 16 years old yet sometimes he could be just 5 or even 21. He is an honest boy and very loyal to his family. 

He likes to dress up for parties and formal things with the familia.He is studying French and he is an A student. He dreams of going to a university which i pray he will one day.

He is very playful at times and he could make u have a lot of fun. He is so skinny yet he is strong and brave.

He loves to play monopoly and soccer . He plays soccer well. He is fast and agile. He loves to play with kids too.

Here my kids and him were having breakfast after his Sunday soccer game. The only time i saw him played i was amazed of what he could do .............

Here u can see his big eyes as he explains the rules of the game MONOPOLY . He loves to argue and he doesn't like loosing. He always wants to be the last to say something .

We  were at work here. He usually does as he is asked to do with no complains.Sometimes he could take his time in doing things but others he would be so pront on doing his job.

He is a good son , a kind friend and a loving brother.
